Playstation 2 - Gotta Get One...

The Playstation 2 or the PS2 will be out in the U.K and the rest of Europe on the 26th October 2000 and will cost around £299. The games will be about £38. The PS2 will have many different features than the PS1, you'll be able to download movies on to a memory card, then you can watch them on your computer. Things like WAP phones, Sony laptops, Sony video camcorders, a digital photo printer and A digital camera will all have links to the PS2. This will create an impressive media package, which will allow you to inter link different devices if you can afford to!!

The will be around 50 games out on 29th October, from Dead Or Alive 2 to Range Racer 2. One of the new games for the PS2 is called Fantavision and it is the first fireworks game for a console. There will be a new controller for the ps2, with touch sensitive controls that have 256 different pressure levels, pressing the buttons harder produces more of an effect. So if you're playing Resident Evil and you're getting scared, hitting the buttons harder will make the game a bit easier for you. Alternatively if you are running along shooting the zombies heads off, it will make it harder for you to play, by making more and more zombies.

Though packed with features, one of the best things on the PS2 is to unleash a deadly combo in Tekken Tag Team. It then saves that moment when your mate hits the ground and then send's it to them in a email, so you can repeatedly rub it in.

You can also change the character's within the game by taking a picture with a digital camera and then giving details (height or weight) about yourself (or someone else). It will then make the character based on these details, so you can beat up your self on Tekken.

When the PS2 came out in Japan it sold out that day. So people are pre-ordering now to avoid any disappointment. If you go on the Internet, you can fine some good deals but there are so bad ones, so beware. I found an incredibly bad deal, for £390  you got the console, 2 controller,s a memory card, but no GAMES! So look around before you buy.
