The Hunter, Movie Gossip Seeker Extraordinaire - 2nd Edition

OHHHHHHHHHH MY...I'm back again and do I have news for you. Life's been hard since my last check in with the pupiline team...attending movie premieres, turning down parts in major movies, partying on the Boulevard and then spending all day sunning myself in the luxurious climes of LA. However I've been talking to my buddies all across the movie scene and I've got together the hottest line up of latest movie gossip exclusively for pupiline.net, you lot are in for a treat.

First up, to fit in with the goings on the site last month I have, cue drum rolls and trumpets, der-da-da-der, the LATEST SUPERHERO FILM NEWS (said in a large booming voice). Yes, after pupiline brought you hot of the press news of the Spiderman film, directed by 'Evil-Dead' man Sam Raimi and starring Toby Maguire, I can confirm the villain. Yes...it's the Green Goblin, and as we speak 'big man' actor John Malkovich (Con Air, Being John Malkovich, Dangerous Liasons) should be signing on the dotted line to play the only 'baddie' that knows 'spiddies' identity. Also the luscious Kate Hudson will allegedly ink her name to the part of Mary Jane, Peter Parker's girlfriend.

Not content with that but your BELOVED HUNTER HAS SEEN EXCLUSIVE ARTWORK FOR THE FILM. Drawn by comic genius Alex Ross the pics (see above) show a very cool Spiderman suit, black and red…..what no blue? And a demented Green Goblin. Fingers crossed then for good things to happen.

Right, what you've been waiting for...it's that film again, der-der der-da-der-der (are you getting sick of all the crappy attempts at trying to write down tunes like you hum them?) can you guess it? Well the initials are SW...YES MORE EXCLUSIVE STAR WARS EPISODE II NEWS. This is really hot...ouch...I have found out, from George and his gang, a list of new character and place names. The secretive Sci-Fi boys decided to register some web-sites in these names and although I can't guarantee these will turn up, there are some that are surely dead certs,

Great Clone War, Clone Trooper, Super Battle Droid, all have sites registered by Lucasfilm, so can we safely say the film will focus on the often mooted 'Clone Wars?

Rise Forth, Dark Romance, are these possible titles for the films? They're registered domain names by Lucasfilm, so do they hint at the love between Anakin and the Queen, or the rise of the Dark Side?

Lord Tyrannus, Ambu Fett, Jango Fett, now the last two must be definite characters, who are some how linked to Bobba Fett and the Bounty Hunters, and Tyrannus would be a fantastic name for a Sith Dark Lord.

Dexter Jettster, Dexter's Diner, God knows what this is about but if you've seen the Episode II exclusive photos, you may have seen a 50's style diner, what its all about exactly...even The Hunter doesn't know.

Unfortunately we're all going to have wait until 2002 to get all these mysteries resolved, even yer dear old Hunter, sitting under that big old Hollywood sign, is not entirely in the know on what Mr Lucas is up to.

Next up, time to tell you what trailers I've managed to 'hunt' down in the last month, well 'Jurassic Park 3', 'Pearl Harbour', 'Traffic' and 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' to name four. Want to know the score? Thought you might.

JP 3 was merely a teaser trailer but yours truly has managed to find that the film is being shot in Honolulu. It also involves scenes in an abandoned Air Force base, with plane-chomping dinosaurs, sounds better than the dinosaur's attacking a city a la Godzilla, which was the original rumoured plot line.

'Pearl Harbour' is the latest offering from my big heroes Bruckheimer and Bay, the 'megabucks' guys who made Con Air, The Rock, Bad Boys. This is their $200 million stab at the 'Epic War Film', with a love story thrown and if the trailer's anything to go by it looks like 2001 Summer Smash.

'Traffic' is the first film starring the hot celebrity couple Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, but don't worry this ain't no smaltzy romantic movie, it's a hard-hitting political/cop thriller about Drug Running in Mexico and it looks outstanding. Expect this Late 2000/Early 2001.

'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' may not sound too familiar, well that's because it ain't, but I imagine it soon will be, as this is the OFFICIAL HUNTER TOP TIP. A kung-fu movie that has amazing fight sequences (Sword fights along tree branches 100ft in the air...amazing or what?), Hong-Kong cool guy Chow Yun Fat and majestic director Ang Lee. WATCH THIS SPACE.

Finally for all the Horror Film freaks out there (this includes me, though I prefer to stay in the closet rather than wear Vampire fangs in public)great news. One third, of a new 'Living Dead' zombie flick, has been scripted by none other than original director George Romero. Now the original trilogy was the finest series of Horror movies ever made and therefore big hopes will be pinned on the fourth instalment, only needing a budget of $5 million, this should be a low 'budget-tastic' great.

Anyway Adios Amigos, I'm off for a 'weekend visit' to Tijuana and then I'll being going loco down in Acapulco, so remember STAY SMOOOOOOTH.
